So I'm hoping to be in Brussels for about a day, taking the train over from Paris. No car, just mainly staying in the city center area. I've gone over what I could find in this thread and think I pretty much have an idea of where to go for some beer. My question is more concerning the fact that my wife & I will have our 14 year old daughter with us. Places on my list are: -Cantillon -Moeder Lambik (Newer location) -Biere Circus -Nuetnigenough Are any of these places for adults only? I know most (not Cantillon) have food so I'd prefer to be able to sit at a table and have snacks/meal while I sample some good Belgian beer. I would like to bring back some bottles also so are any of the bottle shops 'adults only' like some here in the U.S.? Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated, unfortunately I will be visiting on a day that 3F will be closed it seems. The rest of the day will be eating chocolate, waffles & sight seeing for the girls. Cheers, Marco
There is no problem at all to visit beershops and those bars you mentioned because your daughter is traveling with her parents .
There were (accompanied) children at each of those locations when I went. Some much younger than 14, too. You'll be fine.
4 places sounds like a lot, but if 2 of them are meals, not bad. I think they'd be fun places. The original ML has games and comics, no? Use Cantillon like a museum. It might not be my 14-year-old self's ideal day out, but not bad for pit stops and meals.
@Marco_Gtz do you have anything to share post-visit? I just came across your helpful thread. Family friendly places... (also Antwerp, Brugges, Amsterdam) Thanks
