I would say as someone that has been there a handful of times, it is quite the adventure. If you have never been, its worth the visit. My 2 cents. Would i stay there all night, no, but is it worth going to check it out? In my opinion yes. I'll be visiting the end of the month myself for a draft.

It can be useful to go off-hours if you need to do a serious deep-dive into what's new and different on the market. Otherwise, for pretty much any visitor to the country, there are dozens of places within stumbling distance that will have a few sessions' worth of great things to try.

I enjoyed Delirium, but we went during the day and it wasn't busy at all, so it was pretty laid back. You could tell that place has another life though what with the sticky floors and bathrooms that reek of pee.

I also enjoyed Delirium when I visited last month but it was in the early evening and so not much crowd. As a result, it was quiet and I had a chance to look at that 3000+ beer menu without any rush and didn't need to shout. I am curious to see how that place is in the night but wouldn't plan a trip just for that.

To the OP: 3F has some lunch options too. Nothing too fancy but three/four dishes and also bread and cheese. They mentioned about another restaurant a couple of miles away (which could be associated with them) and has a few dishes that involve using their beer. I couldn't check it out but I had a great time @ 3F.

I can say as so wine who has not been a handful of times. They had a decent selection while we were there with a lot of beers I had never tried. So I was able to sample several different different over the course of a couple of days.

Reviving this thread to seek recommendations for Brussels. Will be spending 5 days there in mid-October. Staying in the Marollen area, near Palais de Justice. Looking for advice on must-visit beer destinations and fun tourist attractions. First time that my wife and I are visiting the city. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers

The Marolles district is known for the flea market, it's fun to check out. La Brocante is a great stop for beer in a classic brown cafe with a nice patio. Restobieres has some of the best food in the city in a very cozy, quirky atmosphere. Spek & Boonen is a great little shop for cheese & charcuterie. Het Warm Water/L'Eau Chaude is a cozy eatery & cafe that has reopened. These are all within a couple blocks walking distance.

Must visits: Cantillon, Moeder Lambic, Nüetnigenough, and La Fleur en Papier Dore.

Also in the Marolles (well technically just across in St. Gilles) Malt Attacks for bottles and La Porteuse for dinner. Their beer list isn’t amazing and the food is just solid, but the space is beautiful. I highly recommend Restobieres as well.

We went to the Marolles flea market in May and, while I generally love flea markets, 90 percent of what we saw was absolute junk, with broken glass all over the place. La Brocante was very nice, though. Good food and some good lambic offerings.

Make sure to check out Saint Octave on Rue Haute for top class cheese and charcuterie. It’s at the top of the hill from Restobières, and there’s a great little bar across the road called Renard Noir. No whales in there but a super solid bottle list.

Thanks for this, folks. We'll be pursuing many of these recommendations, particularly the Marolles spots. Much appreciated.

Just wanted to thank everyone again for the very useful recommendations. We ended up going to most of the places suggested and had a great time as a result. Your help is much appreciated. Cheers!
