Or, it could stay at the top of the forums much like the "Rules" list does.

Keep on Keepin' on!!!! As BA's we need to out these bad traders they are scum and should be treated as such.

Thank you for the list and the time and effort you and others have put into it and I hope soon we won't have to add anymore names!

Yeah, the "cluttered" commentable profile page that the bros removed was one of the only ways to publicly label someone as a bad trader, on the front of their page. There were 3 people that stiffed me in the Super Bowl Squares pool, and the organizer posted on their page that they never shipped out. Now, with those pages gone, 2 of the three are listed on the BT page, and I have my own spreadsheet on my page stating who shipped to me, and who didn't.

Kind of a shame the front profile pages were removed.

Yeah that was my way of doing. I would always write it so that people looking around would see it directly.

I sell a lot of PC hardware on other forums. We use a system called Heatware. This is a user created site (I am sure someone on here could easily create something like this for beer). I think something like this is perfect. When you setup a trade, ask for their heat handle (which should be posted in their profile, as well) and you can check their history.

This allows you to see an entire history of their trades. When you make a trade with someone, you write a review on their profile and put their BA username on the review, that way when they trade with someone else, the new trader can be 100% certain (other than someone stealing a BA username /password and setting up a trade) that it is the right person.

To the Bros: can we seriously get the bad trader list in a sticky thread? It would take 2 mins and save everyone a ton of hassle. Seems like the best solution until there is time to implement something more visible on the profiles.

Agreed. I know a lot of people don't even know how to get to the bad trader spreadsheet even though there are a ton of links in various forums/threads. Having it stickied would save a lot of people time and give em a chance to throw it into their favorites like I did.

Problem with the bros doing anything more than they do in beer trading is that it is illegal in many states, and they could be opening themselves up to liability there.

Yeah I realize they can't officially "legitimize" the trading forums but they can put a sticky of the "forum rules" with the link in it just like any other forum. Plus they moderate the trade forums to some extent anyways, so I don't see the issue. If they can worry about threadshitting, then it makes sense to stop shitty traders/keep potential bad trades from happening.
