This place opened by me yesterday, just heard about it a couple hours ago. Details are scant. Anyone got any deets?

I can’t tell if you are setting us up for another Guncraft thread. If you live close by why not try it and report back?

They have a dog, so that's pretty cool.

So does anyone know where they came from? Looks like maybe they used to brew at Skeleton Key?

    That's not a dog. That's a plush toy.

Ah, this page did not exist on Friday. I'll swing by eventually and wish them luck, just wonder what they are gonna do to stand out. I think we're past the "husband and wife cash in their savings to open a brewery" phase of that being a compelling story.

Agreed. But being a stone's throw from the Bavarian Lodge definitely can't hurt them.

I'll be rooting for them but I really hope all these small, new breweries are prepared for what lies ahead. This market has become extremely saturated. Going to be a tough market to stand apart from the majority going forward.

Didn't you hear? Breweries are the new bars. They don't have to stand out unless they are next door to another brewery.

I would love that if it were true. The density of neighborhood pubs within walking distance was one of the most hygge parts of my time in England.

I had a couple beers there Sunday (I live in Lisle so it's a mile away). It was decent. I did like the fact that they have VARIETY right now: a hazy, west coast, hefe, a smoked rye porter and a few others. Would I tell someone they need to drive from Joliet to go there, no. But if you're in the area, it's worth checking out. I doubt it will be a Hype Train, but I will always enjoy a new very close place to stop at once in a while. My very limited appraisal, as of now I would put it on par with a Skeleton Key-Garage Band..It won't be a Hype Train, but respectable.

Ya just never know. Whiskey Hill was once Urban Legends. Noon Whistle was terrible for a year. Rev didn’t operate in the world of hype during the first half of their 12 years in Chicago.

I get that. I wasn't trying to imply it was bad at all. I was just trying to say if you're idea of craft beer is nothing but fruited sours and pastry stouts, it won't be your cup of tea. Personally, I'm thankful that's the case since I hate breweries that can only do that stuff.
