Greetings All, once upon a time there was a thread on the old site about the best places to belly-up around Buckhead, & one place in particular that had an astounding cellar. My wife is going to be there tomorrow & Friday & would be most obliged if anyone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks!
The actual town of Buckhead or the area of Atlanta known as Buckhead? Very big difference between the two.
There's nothing beer-related in Buckhead (the neighborhood, can't speak on the town). Tower on Piedmont (package store) I guess could be considered Buckhead. It's south of the Lindbergh MARTA station. And there's a Green's (another package store) on Buford highway, but the Green's on Ponce de Leon is better in my opinion. There are some Tacomacs around (sports bars), which are better than nothing. Similar to a Flying Saucer but more emphasis on the sports. If I'm forgetting something maybe something can set me straight. Good luck!
Buckhead has lots of people wearing fancy duds and admiring themselves. Decatur has lots of people drinking fancy beer. Go to Decatur.
Sorry, haven't been to Atlanta in 15 years! It's the Buckhead area of Atlanta. And the Decatur hint was all we needed, I was looking for The Brick Store Pub. That's what she had her eye on. Thanks!
