I used to drink it when I was younger. I liked those long neck bottles and a cold draft. I haven't had it in a few years and ought to try it on one of the hot NC summer days but I can't make myself buy a sixer. Yet another first world problem!

Welcome to BA! Always love hearing the stories from back in the day before craft beer was cool.

Each serving method tastes equally awful.

Yes, PBR >>>>> Bud. But not because I'm a hipster/trying to be a douche or anything, it's just my opinion.

    Actually...

Coors, PBR, and sometimes High Life (depending on the day and if I'm in the mood for corn) >> Budweiser. I'm not a hater, there's just better macros out there. I was pretty lovey dovey on Budweiser in those aluminum pry-off top bottles though for awhile...mmmm. Then I found Coors in their twist off aluminum bottles. Easily the king of macros, IMO. Again, IMO.

    Tap/Bottle/Can...in that order of preference.

I took note of your verbiage of:

“I can't taste even the faintest trace of any malted barley of hops. None whatsoever. Period! If any are actually used in the production of this beer, the amounts must be so small that the flavors are unable to be detected by the human taste bud. That said, the taste is not foul or offensive by any means like I find it to be with some other macro adjunct lagers I've tried over the years, it is just that there is barely any flavor profile here to speak of whatsoever.”

It has been a looooong time since I have had a Budweiser but my recollection of that beer is pretty spot on with what you posted: nothing offensive in that beer but no positive attributes either. Basically the functional equivalent of seltzer water with some ethyl alcohol.

I suppose that if I wanted to get a buzz and desired to drink a beverage with essentially no flavor Budweiser would be for me!?!:astonished:

    Cheers!

I agree. But I was trained from an early age to be skeptical and have never suffered fools any better than they suffer me. My kids (33 and 30) despise conflict, but somehow it is natural to me. I have worked on this, but I do realize that on occasion people say nothing when something needs to be said.

I like that! I'm a North Carolina boy through and through! Mostly Quaker trained at a southern Baptist school. This is a lovely weird place!

Well, you would fit into New York if you ever decide to re-locate.

    Cheers!

Just had one (actually two) in a frosted glass at TGIF after softball in extreme heat and sun.. I think ratings would be a lot different depending on rate of thirst, ambience, food, etc. After I downed two pints, I have to change my rating.

No thank you. These woods are part of me. I go to New York for books, sometimes business, but always for food and memories. I just hate the noise.
