http://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/05/out-of-beer-bud-lights-smart-fridge-will-tell-you.html Doing what they do best, marketing. Tells you how many "Buds" you have left and linked to your NFL team.
So how about a cellaring fridge where you scan the barcode of a particular beer in, sensors along the shelves to alert the fridge where you placed said scanned beer and cooling system that allowed for a little variation depending on levels. Push notification on when a beer is removed and what it is (in case your roommate's friend thinks a 2013 KBBS is for pounding...) and an associated app that keeps your inventory, sortable by style, brand or vintage. Now THAT would be a proper use for the technology.
Got ya. I'll tell you what, the fact that there's a market for these fridges may be a good enough reason to hate the US, it's citizens, and capitalism in general.
Jesus christ. I had a good laugh at that. Its cool but come on. You dont remember how many beers you had last night so need to check your phone? Also. Thats insane technology of all things to do with knowledge lol
