Use to get the 4 pint packs of Yuengling for $4.29. Unfortunately I don't enjoy it anymore so now im looking for a new cheapie. Cant stand PBR; someone recommended Molston Ice to me. Also plan to give Narragansett a try. The biggest issue for me is I don't like the taste of corn in beer.

Since I don't drink copious amounts anyway, it has never been an issue with me. That said, if I had to stop buying altogether, I have enough wine in the cellar to keep me occupied for a year or more.

How many dollars is that above or below the average or typical price for 6 packs and 12 packs in your area?

Didn't the 37 other threads on bang-for-your-buck beer all come to a consensus that Sierra Nevada is the right answer?
That is...unless the mythical $12 unicorn 12-pack of Ballast Point really starts showing up...

Nice snarky response, but I'll keep playing along for fun! :-)

My average mixed sixer runs between $15-$19 depending on the beers I select.
    Average big bottles run $8-$15

So weekly average in a normal week for me would be if I buy a mixed 6er + 1 bomber would be $23 on the low end to ~ $34 on the high end.

If I don't adjust beer consumption much at all, if I simply switch to either buying 2 six packs of a preferred craft beer or a 12 pack of the same beer or a variety/sampler 12 pack the cost range would be ($17-$26).

So go from $23-$34 in my preferred beer buying week to $17-$26 per week just on a format change and a little sacrifice on beer variety. Don't need to buy Busch 30 packs. Quality of beer could still be kept and even get a few more oz's per week of beer while saving anywhere from $6 to $17 a week if need be.

Not going to bother bring ABV into the mix of analysis. Makes it a lot more muddy and I think the general point I was going for has been made.

Snarky? It only seems fair if you want that level of detail from others that you should be able to offer it yourself. Thanks.

Around here the mixed 6 can be had for $12 if you know where to look. Regular 6ers typically run $9-15 depending on the beer and the place you buy them.

Can't give you prices on bombers or 750ml sizes since I typically don't buy them and mostly the only ones I have in the basement were gifts.

Sierra Nevada 12 packs are my budget/everyday/always in the cooler for me to stretch the fun tickets between the $10.00-$15.00 sixers

I also keep at least two "lights" Bud, Miller, Coors in the community cooler for kids, guests that don't care etc.

Now to really keep the costs down I also home-brew and I can keep an Imperial Zombie Dust clone on hand (I try but it evaporates) for about $5.00 a sixer

With winter seasonals coming out I can't forget great divide hibernation ale. $10-12 a six pack for a 8.7% beer that I can't get enough of.

They all have cheap quality beers, in my opinion.

Just came across a sixer of Oskar Blues Old Chub for $8.39 as well as Sly Fox Route 113 for $7.99 a sixer. That seems cheap to me.
