That is why my first HB was extract, its hard to screw that up. :grinning:

I have tons of respect for them as brewers.

Just as I have tons of respect for a pro chef, but then he makes liver and onions. I am going to hate it. why because I think its the worse thing you can ever eat. The thought of it makes me ill. I have tired bud over the last 50 years of beer drinking and busch and bud are beers that makes me ill. My joke was it was not even beer, well of course it is, its just not beer I will drink.

Oh snap, is this actually one of Miller's marketing images? I'm going to be terribly embarrassed if so; I grabbed it from google images...

Big boys=future and mom and pop =past is a bit too limiting. With fast moving technology and the advent of microcredit in the developing world and even here in the US, mom and pops are able to compete at level never thought of just a few years ago.

At the same time, some of those same developments are enabling the big boys to control a bigger and bigger chunk of the market.

FWIW, I am no fan of Walmart, but they are starting to work more closely with local providers. Could be a win win for Walmart and the locals, or it could be marketing hype.

Upon further review, my call is overturned. Just one case of anodectal (sic)? evidence, but Hollywood Video and Blockbuster have left the building, Elvis-style, and yet there is a mom and pop video store doing bang up business here in my town. So crowded on Fri and Sat nite that you can hardly squeeze in! and despite the proliferation of world class Farmers' Markets in my area, Wal Mart is the THE place to go, for some of the freshest, best fruits and vegetables. For those in the know. Go figure.

I had a friend growing up, whose dad worked at the Strohs brewery in Detroit. I noticed he had Molsons or LaBatts in his fridge. When I asked him why he did not drink Strohs, he said that while he liked his job, he thought that Strohs tasted like piss.

But then, anyone who knows what piss tastes like, may not have the most refined palate.

This is just another attempt by a macro brewery to take back some market share lost to good, ahem, craft beer.

It's advertising so take it with a grain of salt. Arguably, AB is the best brewery in the country given their sales and insanely consistent product line. You may not like their beer but some people don't like imperial stouts or really hoppy beers so yeah.
