    .....Gets Bogged Down With Traffic

    From news.bitcoin.com
The popular American-style pale lager produced by Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser announced on November 29, that the firm planned to issue a series of 1,936 non-fungible token (NFT) collectibles. Following the Bud-themed NFT market launch, the web portal experiences some hiccups.

....While attempting to visit the Budweiser NFT web portal, the site seemed to be bogged down by lots of traffic, as the page gave multiple “504 Gateway Time-out” warnings after 1 p.m. After getting the site up and loaded, visitors must be 21 years or older to enter the web portal. Visitors are required to enter their age. That section of the portal gave another “error” when checking the legal drinking age. Finally, after 15 minutes of trying to enter the Budweiser NFT web portal with no luck, it suddenly opened for our newsdesk at 1:16 p.m. (EST).

    From Busiiness Insider India
Each ethereum-based NFT is one of a kind, generated using archived photos, ads, and designs from throughout Budweiser's history.

Of those, 36 are considered gold NFTs — rare tokens costing $999 that come with benefits, rewards, and surprises exclusive to those holders. The rest are considered core editions, which cost $499 and come with their own perks.

The purchase of these NFTs, which Budweiser called "key to the Budverse," is only available through the company's website to US residents who are of legal drinking age.

I’m still foggy on what the heck an NFT is, and Bud isn’t my lager of choice so I suppose I’ll pass.

I see it as an accoutrement for those who already have the hat and belt buckle.

Looks like AB is going both forward and backwards to promote their ever-shrinking former-flagship brand, Budweiser. Still seeing these on the shelves, post-Veterans Day.

NFT cans? So it's a beer you can't actually drink? Since it's Budweiser I suppose they may be doing consumers a favor.
Wow, they'll donate $1 per case sold! How generous.

A NFT Brewery would be a brilliant idea. You don't have to actually brew beer, pay utilities or employees. Or have any expenses whatsoever. But still get the money.

    Who's in?

I think you're on to something here. We can release different hop varietals, some of them rarer than others. Wait: we can invent new varietals that don't yet exist!

"This Citra-Nelson Sauvin-Amarillo hybrid is exclusive to our virtual brewery, and only for a limited time! If you could taste it, it would present juicy notes of pineapple, mango, white grape, and mandarin orange, along with a strong herbal dankness and a unique quality we can only describe as ambrosia. You can't taste it, of course - it's virtual! - but if you could taste it, we can promise that no other brewery has ever produced anything quite like this (especially those antiquated "real" breweries). It's a unique experience that you can only imagine, and all for the low price of $300 per virtual can (or buy a four-pack of virtual hop tokens for the bargain price of an even $1000)."

And I'm over here trying to sell physical art that actually exists like a goddamn Neanderthal.

One of my favorite hobbies as of late is reading people's explanations of NFTs on Reddit. They always boil down to "I bought this, I can't be a moron, so NFTs are genius investments and if you don't understand that then YOU'RE the idiot!" Someone who's into these go ahead and give us your best breakdown of NFTs. I could still use my daily laugh for today.

I reviewed a beer literally called NFT (by Spyglass Brewing) and had to do some on-the-spot research as to what the hell that even was, so here's my layman definition for y'all (plucked straight from the review):
