I liked Smoke on the Bayou but wasn't a fan of the BA Gingerbread I had at the Rockwell dinner. That pistachio cream ale was the star of the night. The salad it was served with overpowered the pistacio flavor I was looking for.

I felt Smoke was the weakest of the night followed by the BA Gingerbread.

It was a nice cream ale with a subdued pistachio flavor. It was crafted quite well and was really a great beer.

I let the Buff Brew Crew know that it was great and we hoped to see it again.

I created the beer on Untappd, but you probably won't see many check ins.

You know if they ever plan on distributing this?

Considering it was a spur of the moment type thing, I doubt it.

They don't distribute many of their 1 off type beers.

That said, I hope they do!

I hope they do as well. Best beer I've had from them.

If anyone gets an extra tomorrow.. which I know is probably near impossible, I have a Jester King Funk Metal I'd trade for it in the Houston area....

The picture of the line outside specs, Buffalo posted almost makes me not want to go. I think I'm a beer hipster. Still, if I don't get one, I'd like to trade for it.

why the long lines for gingerbread stout? it's fairly easy to find on tap in a lot of places

No clue. That, along with the $13.99 price tag, makes me wonder why people are freaking out about this. A non-barrel aged beer that equates to $28 a 4-pack? No thanks.

It may be easy to find on tap, but not easy to find at my house. Plus supporting the local guy build his business. Plus it's pretty good. Just a few reasons.
