The price made me pass as well. I do not expect breweries to give beer away, but come on.

Picked up Hopadillo Negro (which I have not had yet) and Endeavor (which I have, and came back for more) instead. Not exactly $4$ but not all I picked up either.

Not totally off. Being they are 500ml bottles, that's pretty close if you have a FedEx account.

Just find someone who lives near the brewery, or goes to the brewery on a somewhat regular basis, and who isn't faded about shipping a case.

Yeah, the cases over there are 120$, so 30$ shipping on top didn't make it too bad. There were fresher bottles showing up around town, but being that they were only a week or so old, I wasn't too faded by it.

Trying out the More Cowbell that I picked up at Growlers Montrose yesterday. Very disappointed with this one. Not much of an aroma or hop profile and comes across more like an unfinished barleywine. Waste of 10 bucks.

I had More Cowbell at the brewery a couple months back.. thought it was good.. but Endeavour and Hop Delusion are better... I'm betting Valkyrie will be also...

I'm passing this go round.. waiting for the next Enjoy By to hit...mmm.

But if you drink enough bottles at once, you sure will be, amiright?

I drank a bomber last night. A lil on the malty side, which i usually dont care for, but for some reason this one better tasting to me.

    Not too hoppy at all.

EDIT: Were you talking about the Belgium Cowbell, because that's what I was talking about.

    Oh no. The regular MC.

Youre right, I did see it at Growlers also last Thursday went the Lone Pint crew was there. So I'm sure some other places have it now then the original 2 it went to if Growlers does.

Personally I really liked Cowbell, maybe because I'm just starting to get into IPAs, but I thought it was solid.

I def not new to DIPAs, and I like it. About an average one.

More Cowbell isn't that typical slam you in the face, resin-bomb DIPA BAs tend to chase, but for those who like the smooth and malty, it's a solid beer. It's a small brewery..went to check it out last weekend for the tour, the Smoked Cherry was pretty nice. The people were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. A local worth supporting IMHO. For those who don't wish to pay $9/bomber, there are plenty of local bars offering TX pints for roughly $3.

Surprised? A brewery that doesn't have big limited or barrel releases and lots of hype tends to get overlooked in BA land.

I liked Cowbell but IMO there isn't much else worth discussing with this brewery unless there's just something I haven't tried. I thought the Gingerbread Stout was decent but there hasn't been much else memorable. Any suggestions?

Woah. Jesus Christ, I expect a bar to charge a few extra bucks but GD! I bought a bottle of Endeavour at BWW a week or so ago and it was only $9. I love Nobi but $17 for a 22 of any IIPA is a rip.

Buying bottles of craft beer in bars just isn't worth paying the markup. It isn't any different than buying a bottle of wine in a restaurant for $80 that you could have gotten at HEB or Specs for $20. Same principle applies.
