I'm sure plenty here got the email yesterday about the release of their gingerbread stout tomorrow morning at the smith street specs...

I have not had the pleasure of this beer before...

Worth making the trip downtown for a couple of bottles tomorrow morning at 10? Or is it something I should pick up only if I run across it... ? If I'm going DT do I need to be there at 10?

Wasn't impressed by the More Cowbell... kinda not happy with myself for buying 2 bottles... should have stuck with 1...

Had a Smoke on the Bayou last night... it has aged quite beautifully compared to the bottle I drank after the release...

    Appreciate the advice.

It was good when it was the only beer they had out. I can't say I've had one since then, though.

I found it to be ok....

Their Maple Bacon Gingerbread stout was way better!

I love this beeer!!! It rivals SA Pumpkinator IMO (for holiday beers I mean). It hits all other stores next week so I should be able to get a couple bottles.

I like stouts year round as well. The flavored ones though like pumpkin or gingerbread just have a cold weather vibe to me. I still haven't opened my bottle of this from the 1st release.

I found it to be like drinking water with an excessive amount of pie spices mixed into it, so take that for whatever it's worth

I don't like their waxing job though, seems very thin around the cap area...
