    Hey BAers!

I'm doing a little road trip this weekend from Buffalo to Chicago for my bachelor party. Leaving Buffalo early on Friday, 9/2 and coming home 9/4. I've done some research but just wanted to get anyone's highly recommended stops; either while driving to or while in Chicago. We'll probably take the 90 the whole way (sooo Cleveland?), unless we're feeling saucy and want to take a little detour to the Hoof Hearted release on Sunday (not counting on it after the madness that will likely ensue on Fri-Sat nights).

We're gonna go to 3 Floyd's & Revolution for sure but I'm hoping to get some other suggestions. Thanks!

Willoughby Brewing is off 90 and worth a stop. If you take 271 to 480(GPS may take you that route) both fat head's locatins are close. Lizardville in Bedford Heights is a good bottle shop if you want to take beer with you.

One of my go-to recommendations is always Goose Island Clybourn--

    1) It's a Chicago classic, and a great location.

    2) It's a chance to see that not all their beers taste like 312 "Urban" Pale Ale.

    3) It's right across the street from the best liquor store in the city (and maybe state): Binny's in Lincoln Park.

Depending on where you'll actually be in the city, there are a million other great places to hit.

So many choices depending where you will be in Chicago. Local Option, Hop leaf, Map Room, Haymarket, Fountainhead.

Bulldog Brewing, in Whiting, Indiana, has some really good beer and food. http://www.bulldogbrewingco.com/index.html The seasonal Raspberry Ale was awesome. Good raspberry taste without being too sweet. Their Stuffed Bleu Cheese Burger is awesome. And their potato chips are made fresh for each order!

18th Street Brewing is to the north of 3 Floyds, about 20 minutes. Well worth the stop. I went there after 3 Floyds my last trip out that way. Picked up some great beers there. I live in Cleveland, and the easiest Fat Heads location to hit would be in North Olmstead. Right off of I-480. Enjoy the trip.

I just did a similar road trip a couple weeks ago. Willoughby Brewing should for sure be one of your stops either on the way out or on the way back. The beer, food, and staff were all top notch. The Cleveland flats area has four breweries in close proximity to each other. (Great Lakes, Market Garden, Nano Brew Cleveland, and Platform Beer Co.) As for Chicago, I only had time to stop at Goose Island Clybourn and Revolution Brewing but I would recommend hitting up either or both.

If you go to GI Clybourn, try the Honest Stout and see what you think. I think it's a great regular stout. Everyone at the table I was at on Saturday ended up having one and enjoying it.
