That's a good question that I don't have the answer for. Right now I've got around 120 bottles spread across the three shelves, but that's really spread out. My guess is I can stack them much deeper and put at least 300 on the one wall with another 50 on the other wall where right now I've got a "hall of fame" of empties.

@Rsqrd1 I showed my wife the pictures of your cellar. She said she likes it and asked where I'm going to build it. Thanks for the assist!

Easily the most awesome home project I've ever seen. Love the reclaimed barn and the whole look and feel to this.. If i were a home owner this is what I would put in my basement/garage.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, when I go to resell my house, I'll be sure to include everyone's quotes on the flyer. I'm slightly concerned that I've narrowed my target audience by effectively converting a small 2 car garage into a 1 car. Hopefully, much like in beer trading, it just takes the right set of eyes!

If you do sell post as beer/wine/food storage. I don't think you'll have any problems finding a taker.

Another thought....sell it to some Mormons. They are recommended by the church to keep a year of food and water in their house and that would be a perfect spot for it.
