Fairly new here folks. Been collecting items for a home bar build for a couple of years. In the process of roughing it in now. Interior is around 270 sq ft. After interior completely finished plan to add a exterior section about 160 sq ft. I have my father's farm shop. Clearing out the bottom level (30x60) for my car projects. There is a upstairs area that I am converting into the bar.

This build is being done on a budget, so making almost everything myself. Mostly using re-furbished wood from my grandfather's barns etc. Bar top will be granite, I know, not very pub like exactly but I have many extra pieces laying around for the house we are building this year.

Will set up a keg system. Don't brew my own beer yet but wanting to get into that soon as well. below the bar will be a brewing area, about 8x8.

Anyway wanted to intro myself. Will post pics as I go when I can.

Going to put in a keg urinal as seen on here before. Above represents what the end result will look a lot like. The main differences will be a tap handle mounted to the Watts 3/4 ball valve. purchased a keg from a guy near Oxford, found the ball valve on Ebay for $6.50 shipped.

Will have to change the orientation of the ball valve from pic above so that the valve is on the upper right hand side of the keg with the valve is turned 90 degrees. This will place the tap handle at easy reach and the user will pull it forward to flush. Will figure out a spring system on the back so the user pulls the tap forward then releases when done, spring returns the tap handle back to the full upright location.

Thanks tstigz. I knew I wanted a urinal, and after pricing them (used off Craig's starting around $75) I started looking at alternatives that I could build for that much or less but would be much cooler. The keg I got for $25, valve $6.50, t handle was donated by a local craft brewery, drain will be $6 from Lowes, misc plumbing around $15; so for around $50 I will a fairly cool urinal.

And the way I look at it, the urinal will help complete a beer's circle of life in my pub. The beer comes into your life via a keg and tap handle, and will leave it the same way.

Been slowly working on the Irish mini-pub. Building a house so obviously it has priority.

Have cut the keg for the urinal. Have ordered a roll of door edge material from Ebay will put it around the urinal opening to give it a finished look and to cover the somewhat sharp edge around the opening.

Running PVC pipe to the back bar and bathroom. Have decided to drop the bar itself another inch. Have a HUGE piece of rebar that is about 1 1/2 in diameter, considering using it as a foot rail.

    Will post new pics soon.

Keep forgetting I can't post pics from work guys. Will try to upload some pics one evening this week.

Yesterday I got in some auto door edge material from China off Ebay.

Just that black strip stuff you put on your door edge to keep it from getting scratched when you bump something with it. It was around $5 shipped and a think it is like 3m long. Going to place it around the edge of the urinal keg to protect anyones privates from getting cut.

I'm really intrigued by your idea, did it ever get any further?

Yep figured out the drain at the botom and began tap flush handle system. Then we started building our house. I haver pics, just need to get back in here and figure out how to post them again.

Once the house is done, we are painting rooms now so we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the mini bar SHALL be completed.

Will try to get those pics posted here for you. Everyone who has seen it loves the idea.
