I apologize if people were offended by my calling them "beer hoes." I think the proper term would be "beer escorts." Also, wouldn't have to worry about people calling my mom or any family member a "beer hoe" since they wouldn't wait in line for beer.

Is it just me or are all the "FT: Grrrz set" offers in the trading forum only diminishing the value of these beers? And I dont just mean trade value but taste value as well. If people keep trying to trade them away doesn't that appear to others that the beers might be overrated? I was able to get a full allotment and have every intention of drinking all of them (after 10 hours in that line it seems insane to me to trade them) but all these FT offers seem a little excessive. Thoughts?

 

To the dudes and gals that were hanging inside the pub from about 11ish onward, THANK YOU for saving some bottles to crack open and share. I know they announced bottle sharing was cool once the release got rolling, but I wasn't expecting to go whale watching....and drinking.

 

No, offering to trade a beer doesn't diminish the 'taste value'.

 

Personally, when I see far more FT posts than ISO posts it makes me wonder.. But maybe that's just me? If the beer is as tasty as advertised, why are so many people trying to trade it? Am I crazy?

 

So many people showed up on Friday and bought the pub club memberships along with the allotments. There are about 100 people (myself included) that ended up with two full sets. Add in mules and tasting groups that went and there a likely a bunch of people with sets for trade. Note: neither of mine are for trade. I will be drinking 1 set in the near future.

 

That's hilarious!!! That dude is at all of the Tired Hands releases doing the same thing! Those mules were in line in front of us drinking a 22 oz Coors Light can!!! Lmao. I'm sure they were there for Grrrz. One chick had a pack of Newport cigarettes stuffed in her bra (don't ask). The same mules were holding up the line inside as they knew nothing about the beer they were buying. Dude came running up as they were at the ordering table, I guess to make sure they got the right stuff and didn't run out the door with his beer.Dude then directed them to his table inside the bar. What a scumbag.

 

so anytime there are FT posts it diminishes the value of said FT? lol.. if you look, most of the FTs are berry and kriek, the ones where you were allowed multiples. i havent seen many apricots or strawberries for trade.

 

I want to punch this bag of douche in the face.

 

@Jaxbrew I just want to confirm, that these are definitely the girls, lol I realize I may want to clean my mouth out with bleach, as I bummed a few cigs off her. Lol which were stuffed in her bra. Haha what a great experience for my first big release. Can't wait for antead!!

I don't blame you for trading them, especially ones you got extras of.

 

The ol' - why is everyone putting them up for trade to diminish MY trade value. Classic. How dare they put their beer up for trade!

 

Certainly not complaining, but did anyone else think the method they used for packaging the bottles reallllyyyy slowed everything down?

Wouldn't it have made more sense to have at least half of the cases pre-packaged with the full allotment? The one bottle at a time thing seemed a bit cumbersome.

Lol. Funny enough, I think I tried to bum one off of you at one point too hahaaha. Indeed that was them.

Such a great time though. The guys and gals at the share were so generous. I was truly in amazement at the caliber of beer being shared by everyone who attended the share. I literally checked off a list of bucket list beers thanks to you all! Such a fine group of BAs! Thanks!

Yes, the trade value is being decreased. Thankfully, honestly. I'd love to trade one of my extra bottles + something for SR71 or Aquavit DL (the two bottles I'm ISO right now), but I'd prefer being able to show up to Bullfrog in the future without getting there at 3am and dealing with armies of mules and actually drinking the beer.

 

Ummm I offered one bottle of one of the beers we got two of. And I thought my offer was pretty damn generous since my inbox exploded.. But sure, I'm really angry about the decreased value of these beers since I set out aiming for the moon.
