I'll be in town for the weekend and considering a stop to make the release. If any of the locals could let me know how their releases typically go down, I'd really appreciate it. After reading the Fonta Flora release thread, I just want to be sure that I don't have to camp out overnight. Kidding. Kind of. Sorry if this has been covered before but couldn't find anything using the search function. Feel free to PM me if you guys are trying to keep this brewery on the DL.

Burial is anything but on the down low. Not sure what release you are talking about.

Most of their stuff does see limited one or two bottle per person distro in Asheville though.

Great brewery though. One of me and my wife's favorite places to hang out without our kids when we get a date day in aville

If you show up on time you should be fine. Releases are super easy and normally have a small line. I would say their line normally has around 50 or less people.

Burial trade value is low so the hoards of people haven't shown up yet. The quality in beer is there though.

Thanks guys. This is for personal consumption only. No pre-trading here. Any sense of how long the bottles may last? I'll have kids in tow so my plans are always contingent upon their happiness or lack thereof.

Anyone here think that the secret beer will be BA Skillet?

I would guess that Skillet is the base, but I would also guess that those nuts in the picture are the adjunct. Can't quite tell what they are... pistachios? peanuts? and some sort of sweet or hot sauce on them? maybe they're candied.

That would be my guess. Otherwise it seems kind of random to just have some nuts in the picture.

yeah I was trying to figure out what they were. I thought that could be a hint but I (like everyone else probably) want a barrel aged skillet...or piston

I'm guessing peanut butter skillet. They have had that on tap multiple times at the brewery. As far as lines you can usually get there an hour or 2 after the on sale time and still get some bottles.

Says 'Ulfbehrt Oak-aged Baltic Porter" right on the bottle......

    Or is there another release?

They are releasing the baltic porter and another 'secret' bottle in a very limited amount (200 bottles)

Burial is very kid friendly. You could always go by Vortex donuts by Burial, buy the kids some donuts, and then show up at the brewery right at opening and most likely get both bottles.

I initially thought the beer would be Skillet, but I have been second guessing it because it would surprise me for them to release 2 dark beers.

Looks like maybe Tabernacle Cherry Amaretto Stout and Ulfberht Oak Aged Baltic Porter? I could be wrong though.
