We are going to Burlington later this week so our son can visit UVM. Looking for advice on beer bars/eateries, and vegan-friendly restaurants. Thanks.
Lord, Welcome! Burlington has lots of good beer. Farmhouse in downtown Burlington needs to be your first stop. They usually have at least one Hill Farmstead on tap, sometimes Lawsons. American Flatbread has amazing pizza (some of which may be vegan) and also houses Zero Gravity brewery. What day are you arriving in Burlington? If it's Thursday, Beverage Warehouse in Winooski (5 minutes from UVM) gets a Heady Topper delivery that day. Also, many restaurants have Heady cans in Burlington. Stone Soup does a lot of Vegetarian and Vegan options. Revolution Kitchen on Center Street is vegetarian, but not vegan. Can you spare time to make it to Waterbury? If so, hit The Reservoir for possibly 4 varieties of Alchemist, Hill Farmstead and Lawsons on tap. Prohibition Pig, Black Back, Blue Stone and Arvad's also have similar tap line ups. I know there is a vegan resto in Montpelier...just cannot think of the name. Revolution Kitchen in B'ton is one of the very few vegan places there, surprisingly. It's not open yet (so maybe just remember for your next visit), but there's a new vegan place opening in the Chase Mill (http://www.sevendaysvt.com/vermont/...-chace-mill-in-burlington/Content?oid=2295673) While not vegan only, Magnolia Bistro & Bakery serves some good vegan meals. Also, American Flatbread has a localvore vegetable (maybe not vegan?) flatbread special each day (plus Zero Gravity Craft Beer brewery is there, VPB is across the street, and Farmhouse Tap & Grill is couple blocks away).
