Well we're only in Burlington Friday and Saturday. And Saturday we're going to Hen of The Wood for dinner. I assumed it might be a shit show due to food trucks and live music, but that burger looks so good. Might be worth braving for.

Enjoy! As others have said Pine street is on the up and up. Zero Gravity, Citizen Cider, Great Northern, Queen City (Switchback just a couple of blocks away). No shortage of options for a nice bar crawl. Have fun.

I don't suppose I need to give a thumbs up to Hen of The Wood!!! And you can probably get an Alchemist or Hill Farmstead beer there.

Also... if the weather is nice that Friday night, Oakledge park allows open containers (cans no glass bottles). A visit to Vermont in the summer without taking in a sunset over the Adirondacks would be a travesty.

If you want a non-beer activity, walk around the Burlington Farmer's Market on Saturday.

This should come as a surprise to no one, but the Burlington Farmer's Market is fantastic. Even if you're not in the market for a head of cabbage or whatever, just go there for breakfast/lunch/snacks. I still think about the breakfast burrito I had there last fall sometimes.

Like JHavs and others have said, I would spend my evenings sitting outside at Foam. But 4 Quarters and BBC are both worth a ride out if the Uber isn't that expensive. Was at BBC yesterday and the tap list is crazy there and the food is decent as well. If Fiddlehead has Mastermind around I would try to get there as well.

Spent some of Thursday in Burlington and have to shout out Switchback as an underrated stop. Karston was a really nice helles and they had a smoked Marzen that I enjoyed as well. It never gets mentioned here but definitely shouldn't be ignored.

Just got back yesterday. Loved the city. Wish I had more time to hang out there. I preferred BBC over Foam, but probably due to Foam being a shit show when we got there. It felt like we were in a sardine tin of humans, beer was fantastic though. Hen of The Wood was fantastic, and Hongs Chinese Dumplings were life changing.

That's a lot of stuff to cram in!
Check out Parker Pie for after FOFA if you are staying in the area that night. They usually have a great tap list. (may be night before too).
Another spot that is fairly close is Kingdom Taproom in St. Johnsbury or Lost Nation. Lost Nation has good beer and great food.
Also make sure to check Trail Break Taps and Taco's tap list when you go to Big Fatty's/River Roost. They often have some great stuff which is different from Big Fatty's offerings. They have good food too if you decide you don't feel like BBQ. Yuppie style taco's.

Thanks! Thought about Parker Pie day of and Lost Nation on Friday, but thinking I won't be driving too much Saturday evening.

I did, and it will be great. I just mentioned because they usually do post fest crazy tap list. Had a few Cantillon options on tap and in bottles last year.

Oh awesome! Wonder how it will be with HF doing only their own beer at this year's fest.

Grassroots Distro, a side biz of HF, is the sole distro in VT for the Shelton Bros. portfolio, and handles Cantillon, Drei Fontainen, and other high-end imports. They are good at keeping Parker Pie well-stocked.
