    Any must hits?

I am planning to hit up Hill Farmstead on Friday and Lawsons/Alchemist either same day or Saturday. I'd love to find some hard to get bottles for consumption and trade. Let me know if you've got any tips!

    Thanks!

Just a tip. This info is available online, and you will endear yourself to the locals if you a.) do a little research first and b.) dont lead with searching for hard to find bottles for trading.

Appreciate the advice. Mainly I'm looking for a good time, nice bottles are a plus. Pretty sure that if all I do is hit up the three places I mentioned I'll be doing ok.

Lawson's and The Alchemist are not open to the public. You will have to coordinate with shops to get their beer. I don't believe much Lawson's besides Sip of Sunshine will be around for a little while. Good luck and have fun. Check out The Mule Bar in Winooski (a town over from Burlington) for food and beer.

Driving from Michigan to Vermont for beer is like taking a bag lunch to a picnic IMO. Michigan beers ROCK!!

Sours are big out your way. You should try to pick up some of Backacre Golden Sour at Hunger Mtn. Co-Op... Oh and ditto to Fiddlehead suggestion, Second Fiddle a must or Mastermind.

Agree about fiddlehead. Mastermind is a killer dipa. It's about a mile down the road from Magic Hat, which I IMO is worth checking out, especially if you're doing the tourist thing. Both magic hat and fiddlehead offer free tastings.

As was mentioned, Alchemist and Lawson's aren't open to the public . Additionally Lawson's has dialed back production while he deals with a family matter, so besides Sip of Sunshine, it'll be tougher to find. Check out Lost Nation on the way back from HF. Hit the pubs in Waterbury. Hit Fiddlehead (there's a winery across the street, which is a good visit as well).

Agreed on the Backacre, awesome beer. Split a bottle with my fiancee over dinner at Hen of the Wood and snagged a bottle each at Hunger Mountain. They had plenty of it last Sunday late afternoon, but it's one per.

Did a trip from Jersey a few weeks ago. Fiddlehead for sure. Staff is awesome. Rachael (I think that's her name) helped me and a friend track down Mastermind by making some calls to local shops because we couldn't stick around for the release. Awesome people, awesome beer.

Fiddlehead is selling some sweet new logo'ed Teku stemware at the brewery today.

Seems kind of mercenary to me, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Besides what has already been mentioned, I really enjoyed my stop at Four Quarters in Winooski when I was there in September. Solid lineup of tasty beers.

Just enjoyed a trip to the Burlington area this past weekend to score a couple cases of Heady Topper. Definitely recommend hitting the Prohibition Pig in Waterbury. From what I understand, it is run out of the same building where the Alchemist Pub used to be located before flood damage forced them to operate solely out of the cannery. They have a lot of great local brews on tap including some Fiddlehead. I didn't visit the Fiddlehead brewery, although I wish I would have. Pro Pig has some great food too!

Thanks everyone! Any tips on where I might be able to try double sunshine?

Don't think it's been brewed in sometime. You can probably find Sip of Sunshine at most of the bars listed in this thread, as well as in bottles at Winooski, Hunger Mountain, and a few others on the Lawson's website

I plan to drive up from Mass tomorrow for my first Hill Farmstead visit (probably my last trip with my car on my wide summer tires). Will also stop at Prohibition Pig and at some point see if I can snag some Heady for my friends and whatever else seems catches my eye.
