I don't buy beers for others. I let others drink what I have. That said, I don't subscribe to the "craft beer" culture, and therefore I have no problems buying burner beers to offset costs and for thirst-quenching occasions. For those, well now I have Founders Solid Gold (thank you, Founders, at 7.29 a sixer, you sold me in), but you might also find Warsteiner, Boston Lager and Modelo (gold). I will also buy Founders 15 packs when company comes over...just to have something on ice as an option before people start poking in the beer fridge

There's no wrong answer here. I find it interesting that so many other people have such different motivations for doing the same thing as I do. For me, cost does come into play but I think my biggest motivation is appreciation. I dont mind cracking open a good beer if the person Im sharing with can appreciate it or can at least try to but if they arent open to it then Id rather keep it for myself.

Agree that 76 is a fine easy drinking beer.
As far as burners, the 2-3 Boston Lager leftovers from any SA variety pack are always good burners to keep in the back of the fridge.

AKA "Fridge Turds". There's been a can of Peeber in the back of our fridge for over a year now that neither my roomie or I will touch. Maybe if that guy who left it stops back over, he'll drink it then.

Generally if I've got people coming over for the game I'll text everyone for beer input and suggest Hamm's or Yuengling. Most of my friends don't care either way and say they're fine with whatever. But there are some friends that are strictly Bud Light or strictly Miller Lite, so they usually just say they'll bring their own beer.

I tried this at a Super Bowl party, yet I had people passing the Miller Lite and grabbing my Tired Hands. What made it worse was the people who don't give a crap what they drink were not impressed by the Tired Hands. The best quote of the night was: "Beer is beer, man." Needless to say, I think the can art is what drew them to the beer. I wanted to be irritated, but it was not worth it. I can always buy more beer.

I always have craft beer. I make it an experience out of it. You never know what they'll find out they actually like.

Hamm's and I always have Konig Pilsner on hand, I notice that typical AAL drinkers like the Konig.

Because I live in PA and most of my family doesn't, Yeungling is usually in the fridge. Although Hamms seems to becoming somewhat hipsterish

I don't let them in my house? Jk. I only buy what I like. Might have some approachable Jacks Abby and work on converting. Notch session pils is nice too. There is always red wine and bourbon too.

I have no problem slugging down a cold Bud if the mood strikes me...but I cannot stoop down to light beer.

Maybe i'm throwing myself to the wolves here, but I almost always have a 12-pack of some sort of AAL in the fridge.

Sometimes it goes to my friends when they visit, or other times I just want something cold and fairly tasteless (other than water) to quench my thirst. Right now theres a 12er of Sleeman Clear in my fridge, and it's there not because it tastes like heaven...

    Hilarious!

A few weekends ago some very inebriated friends dropped by and I pushed some homebrew Pale Ale that I didn't think turned out that great... of course they loved it

I guess it all depends on where I'm at and what my mood is. When I was in Arizona I went through a big AAL phase (I think it was because of the heat). I probably had pretty much every AAL available in the Southwest lol. Carta Blanca, Tecate, Pacifico, Bohemia, Victoria were my favorite Mexican AALs. My favorite US-brewed AALs were Olympia, Old Style and Old Milwaukee (yes Pabst took a lot of my money). My favorite AAL of all time is Narragansett but they don't have it out West.

Lately though I've been digging all the local stuff so I haven't had much time (or fridge space) for burner beer. However, I recently snagged a Magic Hat IPA variety pack. 15 cans of Lucky Kat, Hi.P.A and Blind Faith for ~$14. It's a really good deal and the beer was quite good as well (fresh too, all canned in mid-January)

No need here. My husbands favorite beer is Miller Lite so it’s always in the garage fridge

Thankfully there are zero beer drinkers in my life that demand anything other than the excellent beers I provide to them.

I am finding that a lot of my usual AAL friends are liking New Belgium's Dayblazer. It's not expensive, and drinks well with poker night, or ball games. Although, I think they still drink their swill at their houses.
