That thing when you are packing a box with extras, and even though you already have 8 bottles and 3 pieces of glassware packed you know there is easily space for at least 4 more bottles......

Do you find a smaller box or run to the bottle store?

Find random fun things to fill the box with?

maybe i need to go buy a bunch of stuffed animals and fill them with bottles. that could be cool.

    Ideas?

Just put more packing material if you already filled the box with a lot of extras. Can never be too safe with extra packaging material. I like to fill in the gaps with old bubble wrap.

Nobody will turn down a stuffed animal, I would probably give it to my cat to use and stuff I guess.

Brew dog already beat you to the stuffed animal thing. If there are any cool local foodstuffs that will survive the journey I'd say throw those in (candies and whatnot)

Don't think my daughter would approve of me using her stuffed animals...

I have seen some people put laundry, hopefully clean, as filler.

Throw in your ugliest sweater. Maybe your trading partner's tasting group would appreciate it.

You're going about this all wrong.

First, figure out how many bottles you need to send as part of the established trade. Then, figure out exactly how small a box you can fit it into with the least amount of packing material necessary for it to probably survive the journey.

Otherwise how the hell are you going to win trading?

I get the correct size box for the bottles intended plus a couple of extras. Are you restricted on what size boxes are at your disposal?

Extra room = more beer going in depending on the trade of course.

That sounds like a good idea! I'll do just that.
Fun box to pack, and i like when things are fun. i debated putting bottles inside the whale/barney brewdog style, but didn't. maybe next time.

    Either term works.

Amelanistic is just a more specific term for "albino", which normally refers to mammels of all white/red eye coloration, but gets muddy in reptiles when you can have multiple lines of amelanism, hypomelanism, and leucism.

Actually, amelanistic is a more generic word for albino; not a more specific one.
All albinos are mammals that are melanisitc but all not melanistic vertebrates are albinos, since fishes, reptiles, and amphibians (and i think even some birds) have other color pigments which are non-melanaion related.

So a snake can be melanistic but it is not likely to be an albino and will likely have some color (hence the yellow colored amelanistic burms). Whereas any fully melanisitc mammal is going to be super light/white skinned/coated/haired and red eyed and properly called an a;bino.

that is albino applies to a subset of vertebrates that are melanistic: the mammals

But indeed it can be hard to know the truth for a line due to the issues with hypomelanism, and leucism.

    Sorry...back to beer i guess.
