Does anyone know of a reputable/reliable online beer store where I can order hard-to-get beer? I would love to get my hands on a bottle (or two) of BA fourth dementia, as well as other stuff that doesn't make its way to New York as often as my heart desires. Thank you in advance!
I use craftcity.com for shipping, and I know luekensliquors.com is really good. I live about 30 minutes away from their warehouse so I'm not sure about their shipping rates but they both have excellent selections.
My go-to's are West Lakeview Liquors for the midwest brews, also Craft City, Craft Beer Kings who do some awesome cellar releases every now and then, and a good one out of North Carolina is Salud Beer Shop. Have bought from all and they are all very reliable. Craft City even threw in an extra last time I ordered from them. Cheers!
I can second luekensliquors.com and West Lakeview Liquors and add Beverages4less...do a search, I found an old thread that listed about 20 of them...I visited most, set up an account, and filled up a wishlist for later...understand, that the shipping may cost you as much or more as the beer does
I'm not sure who put it together, but here's a pretty extensive list of online beer shops and the states they ship to: http://onlinebeerstores.homestead.com/index.html
Every time one of these threads pops up I say the same thing. Blackwells wines and spirits. Get on the beer run list. ( I am expecting half a dozen people to reply that "you don't talk about Blackwell's" @SammyJaxxxx )
Yes, shhhhhh. Don't clean them out before I get to see what they have! I live walking distance from Blackwell's
I just got some Westy 8 and 12 from belgiuminabox, so if you're into belgian ale, give them a try! Shipping was quick and it wasn't crazy expensive
Well, I actually do wish they wouldn't put Pliny online since it's almost impossible to get even less then an hour from the brewery unless you go to a store within two hours of shipment, but what are you gonna do.
If you are looking Chicago area beers, check out The Art of Beer. Great Pipeworks selection among others. www.enjoytheartofbeer.com They just started shipping. Roy and Katie run a great shop with excellent customer service.
There's several out there, all depends on what you want, but I have never seen any Kuhnhenn for sale online at any reputable store. Sure would like to know one though Also check your local state laws. You might find a place, but depending on where you live they may not ship to you
I like to get a lot of Founders, Bells, Central Waters and Surly. I order them from here: http://shop.southlyndale.com/store/ http://www.acespirits.com/ I have visited them both in person and can attest that they are both fantastic.
Does anyone know what happened to the Halftime Beverages site? The site is up, but for months it has just said that it is undergoing maintenance for improved customer satisfaction. You can move around the site, but it won't allow you to select a beer to put an order in. Heard good things about them in the past.
