I usually buy brewery or beer festival beer tasting glasses when I see them, but does anyone know of anywhere to buy them from that's relatively cheap and in bulk? Maybe 20 or more at a time? They can be plain, no logo glasses, but preferably 2-5oz max. Thanks!
Hill farmstead tasting glasses are a pretty good value and pretty sturdy. $4 bucks a glass and they hold approximately 4oz of beer with a 2oz pour line on the opposite side of the HF label. You can probably buy as many as you want from the brewery or have someone pick you up a bunch in a glassware trade.
I bought a bunch of these, and shipping was very reasonable also. http://www.sierranevadagiftshop.com/specialty/beer-camp-across-america-festival-glass.html
Crate and Barrel has these for cheap: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/belgian-taster-glass/s325914 They also have others that can be used for tasters if you hunt around on the site. Ikea is another good place to search.
I want to get myself a set of these, but haven't gotten around to it yet: http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com/libbey-glassware/3702/p329993.aspx I don't remember those being available when I was at HF last week, I would probably have gotten some. I picked up one of their big stemmed glasses instead, which is nice, but a lot bigger than the one in this picture!
Naturally, they seem to have stopped selling them but the Libbey "Just Tasting" series is great. I bought a bunch from Bed Bath & Beyond. They were like $18 per dozen. Maybe they'll come back. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005LVCZG0
I bought 2 dozen 5.5 oz snifters at a restaurant supply store in chinatown for our tasting group. I think i paid around 1 buck a piece. like these:
