I have an unexpected day off tomorrow that coincides with payday. Naturally, this seems like a good time to head up to Vermont. Alchemist's website lists several shops in Stowe that have Heady available on Fridays, but they don't list any additional info. Anybody know what time I should try to get to town? Do most stores have it when they open, or is it delivered throughout the day?
Check out the Craft Beer Cellar in Waterbury. I was up there last weekend and they had Heady on a Friday night (one 4-pack per person). I've also been told that Waterbury Village Market (Wed. deliveries) has it around longer than other places. Heck, Hunger Mountain Coop had Heady left on Sunday evening last weekend. If you can leave early enough, I'd go to Winooski Beverage or Hunger Mountain Coop and buy a case Thursday morning. Both are only ~30 minutes from Stowe
To buy heady in Stowe on a Friday: Most (maybe all) of those stores listed on the website for Friday deliveries are located within 2-3 miles of each other. Drive up and down that main road that they're all off of (forget the name) around 10 AM - Noon and hit them all (multiple times if you can). You're guaranteed a few cases.
