I want to brew ADWTD clone from BYO. I am wondering if you guys think WL099 could handle an ABV of 17% and still carbonate in the bottle. Thanks!

    What is ADWTD?

A deal with the devil (a 17% barrel aged barleywine)

It can handle the %, but why not just use champagne or CBC yeast for bottling and relax and not worry about it? I bottled an 18.6% braggot that isn't carbing, I'll always regret thinking that the yeast would still work and not use some CBC:confused:

I use CBC on all my big beers. What issue is that clone in? I am interested in giving it a shot.

I'm not at my house but it was either the most recent issue or the previous issue. It's on their website if you are a subscriber.
