I've had this happen, but worse yet, they would take a sip of something incredible and not like it so either leave a full nice beer on the counter or even dump it.

I've learned, you always have to hide the good stuff and buy a few extra crap beers just in case you get tipsy enough to feel generous

Maybe next time before your guests start to drink you could politely ask "Would anyone like one of mine before I lock the fridge?"

I don't think a BA has a party where the beer runs out no matter what the invitation says.

A case or two of SNPA in the fridge would have solved the problem.

A selfless BA would have made the phuckers drink craft and only craft. Like it or not Phuck the BMC folks, convert them all!!!

Better yet fill the fridge with double trouble! An easy drinking 9.4% sit back an watch em start dropping like flies

Look on the bright side: now you can rag them endlessly any time they start complaining about the kind of beer you drink.

I typically don't mind sharing, however... if I am having people over and there is something hard to find or expensive in my fridge I do not want to risk losing, I stash it away on the door or in a drawer.

You have reason to upset. Guests should never just help themselves to what they see in their hosts refrigerator. In Italian this is called the "brutta figura." That's just not ok.

that would piss me off too. It should be the other way around. Get good and buzzed on the "Funky" beer because of the superior taste and take your buzz to the next level with beer water haha.

Was going to ask if he ended up with a bunch of 3/4 full beers sitting around... Have seen this happen a few times, which makes it even more important to keep some swill on-hand. I don't mind if there are 3/4 full cans of Bud sitting around, but don't let me find a bottle of Columbus IPA (or anything craft for that matter) that's barely been touched.

If there's a next time, hide your stash. Party day load the fridge up with Bud Light Lime and Clamato for payback.

Those people are not your friends if they did that. They're just "people you know".

"fridge on the deck" ... I mean, if it was that accessible, kinda hard to be mad about it; regardless of my beer taste if the party is on the deck and the beer is on the deck, it is fair game. If that's the only place you have that you can store beer, then that is a shame, but I can't really fault your guests for it, especially if you didn't speak up and ask them to respect your stash.

Nawh, it don't work like that homeboy! That's how people get smacked upside the head. Like the "Friday" movie said don't let me catch you in my refrigerator. There's a certain understanding of what the rules are when you walk into someone's house. You ask before you take, if they were craft beer heads ok, everything is fair game but don't pooh pooh the mans suds and then 2 secs later drink them lol.

Now I the other side of he coin, @twizzard where the hell were at this party that they put a big enough dent in your stash you didn't see it til it was too late? HA!

Thats pretty cheap, IMO. Maybe could pass it with a bunch of friends around who've been drinking, but if I EVER was at a friends place and was invited over for dinner and was asked to donate to the night, I'd be a little taken back. I have no problem paying my share, but as friends, chalk it up as "your turn" and wait until the next gathering to make it all even again.

Point is, if it's out, and you allow someone to start diggin in your stash, then, it's fair game. Tell them to leave it be, or sit back and enjoy the ride with everyone and allow them to have at it.

I would've chewed their ass out on the spot. Having said that, I always just tell my guests the party rules up front. One of them, stay the hell out of my fridge unless I say you can... Friends will listed, assholes, drunk or sober won't

If they couldn't figure it out when he turned off the Metallica and started singing karaoke to Barry Manilow's "Looks Like We Made It", I doubt telling them that he was upset was going to make it any different.

Did they also help themselves to the food in your cupboards or the change you threw on your desk? I can't imagine going to someone's house and grabbing whatever beer I felt like unless I heard the phrase "help yourself to the beer" at some point.

Definitely sounds like you need to set some ground rules for your get-togethers, as russpowell said. Your guests apparently are a little short in the etiquette department.
