    Hello,

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, super new to all of this. I'm very interested in acquiring some Jester King stuff I have been unable to locate in southern California(L.A. to be exact). I'm wondering if anyone might suggest what local stuff would be good to attempt trades for JK? Or with their rise in popularity is it pretty much just "rare" stuff that will pull in trades? Thanks.

I would say shelf for shelf. The new fruit sour releases are hard to come by but their year round stuff should be easy. Just offer stuff you can't get in TX.

You may want to list specific JK's you're interested in since it varies greatly from you may find them in select stores in LA to you need big beers via trade to get one. If you like BM me and I can give you a list of places where I've seen JK in Los Angeles.

Thanks everyone! I should have clarified what I have been able to gather, as I'm trying to get things i have not had.

I have had: Black metal, Noble King, Mad Meg, Petit Prince, Wytchmaker, Das Wunderkind, Salt Lick(Censored)

I'm not sure what is considered shelf in TX, I came across SPECS and they seemed to have Commercial suicide, and drinkin the sunbelt, El Cedro, but shipping was insane. Their bottles to go for the past few weeks have had Boxer's revenge, RU55, most recently Ol' Oi and Atrial has been on there for a bit.

From browsing these forums Atrial would probably take some, I believe the term is "Whalez"? Should I consider the same situation for the rest? These are top of my list, so should I just start hunting rare beers just to trade? heh

With recent law changes in the state, JK has converted to being a "brew pub" which, among other things, means they can sell their own bottles (rather than have a distributor sell them to stores). So a lot of their beers have now become "brewery only" in that you actually have to go to JK to get them.

So there are now 2 tiers of JK beers - (1) shelf beers, which are the basics that are still distributed to stores (Mad Meg, Noble King, Wytchmaker, etc.) and (2) brewery only releases, which includes all of the fruited sours, as well as RU55, Boxers, Ol Oi, etc. The second are likely going to take a little more than shelf, since someone actually has to drive out to JK to get them (and they're kinda in the middle of nowhere: 45-60 minute drive for me) and many of them are now limited (recent releases had limits of 6 for Boxers and 4 for RU55, and the RU55 is already sold out).

There's lots of good stuff in CA, and I'm sure if you want to try some of the stuff from group 2 you'd be able to manage it.

Thanks for the info! I guess my best bet is to just throw a post up and see what can be worked out. Thanks again!
