Did anyone go to the event today? I heard they were releasing a new beer that was only available today at the brewery. I myself tried to go but had to work.

Does anyone have an extra bottle they might be willing to trade?

Right on for price?? How is $1/oz right on?? When BCBS (which is arguably the best BA stout) is only $0.52/oz. and Central waters which has a very reputable barrel program charges $0.31/oz for their BA stout. Both of which im sure are better than Midwest Death Metal. SO yeah I would say it is OVERPRICED just my opinion.. I for one really like 2bros. I live in the west burbs and frequent both the taproom and the roundhouse I just feel they are reaching in price for this one. But hey if people are willing to pay the price, good for the brewers.

Well, it does have house roast coffee and vanilla bean. If you want to talk about comparable beers, we are looking at Bcbcs or Vanilla, Pervuvian Morning, etc. I don't know the exact price I paid for BCBCS when it was in a bomber in 2012, but it was most definitely more than $22. Also, the fact that Midwestern Death Metal is found in a bomber, not in 12 oz bottles like two beers you quote, should be taken into account. I am not saying MDM (I can abbreviate it, right?!) is comparable to tried and true Barrel Age Beers, but once again, I see now reason to call it unjustly, CAPLOCKED, overpirced. A vanilla, coffee, BBA stout in bombers sounds about right. Maybe SLIGHTLY A TINY TINY LITTLE BIT overprice .
