One time I was forced to share a car with someone drinking a Durian milkshake (she was Indonesian or whatever godawful country considers that a delicacy). I would've rather been in a car with beer geeks who all just drank 10 gallons of lambic.

2010 cable car might be the hardest vintage to get? i don't think toro sf sold any to-go, so it's technically the only batch that's never been sold to-go?

2011 cable car kriek i heard less than 4 cases were sold at toro sf. so it sounds like less than 48.

I know this matters dick-all for trading, but IMO both beers are fucking delicious and also considerably different. I'd throw down a 50 to drink either one of them again, no question.

Seeing this post is like salt in the wound at this point! Tried two ISO posts with no success. Guess it wasnt meant to be...:slight_frown: for now...

Here is my last attempt at cable car kriek. For anyone who has a cable car kriek and would consider trading it. How much more beer do you need to let a bottle of Cable Car Kriek go?

Please be gentle if I am way off, thought this was a solid offer. But would like some feedback. Did not get any threadshitting on either of my two posts that I was ISO of Cable Car Kriek, so I figured that the offer was somewhere close to being in the ballpark.

It looks like a pretty solid offer with how KBBS has been trading and how Blabaer already trades. The problem is simply how few CCKs are out there for trade. You'll need to get lucky and hope some Cali trading group that got multiples at Toronado last month wants to try KBBS and sees your post.

The last three bottles in your FT are not helping you at all. Consolidate those 3 into 1 much better bottle and I think you'd have a good shot. I dont know what you have available, but if you had a Rare or something similar instead of those 3, it's a much stronger offer. You're still offering quantity for rarity which is always going to be more painful than you think...That being said, every CC Kriek I've managed to land has been crushed within 3 weeks, so I dont even have the beer in question...

What's funny is that when I was asked about how CCK was in the Toronado thread on the Pacific board, I think I actually undersold it a bit, probably because I was making an effort not to "taste the rarity". After having had some time to think about it, and having some other krieks recently, I can say it's clearly the best beer of the style I've gotten to try. The tart cherry flavors are absolutely sublime, and it provides a nice contrast with the cheese/oak/funk/acid complexity of regular Cable Car.

I agree with this statement 100%. I would guess (and myself is included in this statement as I recently send out a CC Kriek) that more bottles would leave its owners hands if one were to go 1 for 1 with a bottle of equal stature (e.g., Blauw, Roze, etc are just a few I know of that traded with CC Kriek), instead of the ol' qty for quality routine. The only 2+ for 1 I've heard of getting done was Bourbon Vanilla DL + Port DL for CC Kriek.

There were only about 2-4 bottles of CC '09 sold at the T25 party. However, it was the last vintage that had 'easy' to-go sales back when it was released so it definitely *seems* more plentiful than newer vintages. The 2010 never really left the bar, and the CCK and 2012 to-go sales numbers were pretty small.

CCK sales to-go were way, way smaller than 2012. They released like 10 cases of 2012 a couple times, plus I think they sold some to-go when they were doing the CCK. It's still a very small overall release, but it's probably an order of magnitude more common than CCK.

I was suspecting the small bottle count to be a major factor here. Thanks for confirming that...

Wish that I had a bottle that would go 1:1 with CCK.
