Sorry for the stupid question but is this released every year?
    Thanks!

Didn't want to create a new thread for a quick question, so just going to bump this one. Anyone been to Toronado SD recently and have an idea of what CC bottles are going for for on site consumption?

Surprisingly this year's SF Anniversary did not see bottles to go. I was still happy being able to try 2008, 2012, and 2013 at a huge discount compared to SD.

Unfortunately, I also saw some BAs I previously had respect for let temptation get the better of them and slipped bottles in their bags when they thought no one was looking. If you bought multiple bottles and were some of the first in line, the bartenders just opened one and left the rest for patrons to open themselves (thought there was an unspoken rule about this). Anyway, bartenders got savvier very quickly and opened each bottle before handing to people later on.

Anyway, October's release is typically not announced and is usually in the middle of the week. There is a select group of BAs that know about this and share within their secret groups. Luckily for everyone, that information leaks out very quickly to public forums.

    Hope this helps.

You make it sound like you wouldn't have done the same given the chance, but maybe that was just the "old" chussain. I wasn't in town, fortunately, so I hope my respect level is still intact.

Hah, I remember Chussain. Wasn't that the guy who was a serial line cutter at bottle releases and also the guy who threatened people with knives?

Went down to Toronado SD yesterday hoping to see come bottles available for onsite, no luck :/ PNC was a nice consolation prize though.

Do they tend to have it most of the time and it was just bad timing? Or is it still kinda rare to find bottles available there?

They had quite a few bottles a few months ago but haven't seen it lately at Toronado.

Do they do an online sale for it like DDG?

No, in the past it has only ever gone to the 2 Toronados. I think you can take away the bottles in SF, but I cannot confirm since I have never been to that one.

Thanks. I'm actually in L.A. so it would be easier for me to go to Diego. Is it still a ticketed deal?

Usually Cable Car releases mid-October with only Toronado SF having bottles to go. Last year in SF, it was first come first serve for bottle sales with the '13 vintage selling for $60 per bottle (2 bottle limit).

And I assume they last a few hours at most...?

The price tag usually has them there for a while. At least here in SD there were plenty of bottles to purchase but of course you had to open and consume on site.

I think they sold out in 2 1/2 - 3 hours this last year for takeaway.
