Agreed. I wish I tried the 2014 during beer week, I opted for 2012 and 2009 instead. Both were great

I had 2014 and 2010. I have to say the aged version is far better.

Looks like Toronado still has Bottles available for in house consumption.

I'm thinking Cable Car 2014 will be a special one aged since it was only for in-house consumption.

Had CC '14 at Toro SF during SF Beer Week, and honestly, I thought it was thoroughly meh. Might not have had time to settle down since bottling, but at this point, I feel like you'd be spending $60 just for the tick, but not much more beyond that.

They were pouring CC '13 at GABF last year. Agree that $60 is nuts

Did my post about Office Space get deleted? Lol I was making the point that when things are first released they're judged against previous vintages or versions... like a new album being judged against an artist's classic record. Most of the time whatever it is, is panned or deemed not as good as what came before.

Then... after some time has passed, it's held in high regard. I thought 2014 CC was amazing fresh, I'm sure it would get better over time, but it was consume on-site only at Toronado in SF. So there's no way to really tell.

looks like toronado SF just sent out an email blast saying they are pouring cable car 2014 on premise for $60 a bottle.

sorry if this is old news!

Yeah, just got the email. What do people think the reasoning is behind this new 'marketing strategy'? Is it just an attempt to get more people through the doors at Toronado? Can't imagine they're lacking for custom...

It hasn't been a secret since it was released during beer week. I doubt the email blast will make much difference.

I remember seeing it at Lone Hill Liquor for $35 which at the time seemed insane.
