Visiting Calgary for a conference in 2 weeks and was hoping someone could give me the low down. Any bars with vintage lambic menus? Thanks!
Thanks for your input, but I don't see that they stock nice beers for customers, only wine. I don't drink wine.
I think Bottlescrew Bill's usually has some vintage Lambic on the menu, not super cheap though. The Beer Shop (below Last Best Brewing) has a pretty great bottle list with some Lambic on it as well. Also great food available from the Last Best kitchen.
I have been to Kensington wine market in Calgary a while back and they carried quite a bit of Belgium lambic. It has been quite hard to find them now and I am struggling to find a good lambic pub or store now.... Gone the days when you can go to a shop and just pick up bottles of cantillon.... Maybe it's good to start a post where people have seen lambic beer in Canada?!
Bottlescrew Bills and Last Best are the only place your going to find it to drink in, stores wise Oak and Vine Inglewood usually has some 3f on the shelf, A&G, Kriek and Geuze. Cantillon is dropping in the next couple weeks in Calgary as well
