It's not. But this gives me hope it'll come back. Because Wookus (I still have 3 more cans) really isn't the same.

I'm giving a shout out to Claremont, Jerry, who used to run, own Liquor Wharehouse until the rent was raised, pre-covid.
Today i went into my local tw, sure enough all the award winning were old

What other breweries can you add? I know Modern Times has said in the past that they don't enter contests.

Rather not name names but know of many in the San Diego, Denver, Austin area who have chosen to not enter, especially this year. The GABF bump you might get 5 years ago from winning a medal is just not a thing anymore. Add in the cost and Covid and it is understandable. Think even before Covid this was quietly happening. Nothing against GABF judges or the BA but think a lot of brewers would rather spend their money and energy of local events that will drive normal folks to try their beers and are not concentrating on the beer nerds anymore.

Is it already turning into the cool breweries don't enter competitions? That will be a tired bit before long.

I'd actually think it's very large. I see this on the winery side - the top 25% or so wineries never enter competitions. They do submit to publications/magazines/journals though.
