Monkish is a bit too hyped up, from the 4 or 5 beers I've had from them nothing stands out. I liked Beachwoods Mega Melrose and 28 Haze better than what i had from monkish. I dont get their hype but im an asshole
    I strongly support Enegren.
Enegren. Enegren. I assume you got your cases frkm Monkish thru online order and you can order from Enegren directly as well. All their shit is top notch

I do not support anything highland park so i never suggest them. . IMO

Smog City is amazing all around. And they have a world class Barrel program IMO

Canned at the Propagator yesterday. My guess is that it will hit all Firestone locations but not distributed.

Fresh Green Cheek Bier helles just dropped. Best Helles style around IMO

I'm so jealous of the helles tide I'm seeing in LA and sac area. Personally, I'd much prefer a helles to a pilsner but we never see any up here except the occasional weihenstefaner

If you’re not on GC’s Helles wave, you need to. They stack up well against Bierstadt, and Suarez.

We don't usually see any SARA beers up here. Very occasionally our nicest shop will get a case or two of their big bottles, but it's been at least a year since the last time that happened.

Not the best distribution situation up here

Little Bit is a great one. We used to get it more regularly in distro in early 2021 around Sac/Roseville, but unfortunately it has been scares lately.

I'm interested in FW Stivo. Does anyone know FW shipping cost? Their website requires you to create an account to get a shipping estimate. I'm stubborn about certain things, this kind of thing being one of them.

It's been awhile (haven't ordered since they dropped canned Pivo) but I recall free shipping for orders over $99. Shipping is by FedEx Ground. A hypothetical order of 2 4pks of STiVo shows calculated shipping cost of $15 to my area (near Sac). HTH

Drinking one right now. It’s fantastic.

This Peter Hoey guy sure likes to put his name on his beers. Lol

✋ Raise your hand if you’re ready for a new lager!

11º (Polotmavý) is the latest addition our Czech lager series and will be available on draft and in cans tomorrow, Friday February 4.

Polotmavý is a rather obscure Czech style lager but it is also incredibly delicious. This beer features spicy and grassy notes from the use of 100% Czech grown Saaz with a toasty, bready and malty body courtesy of the higher kilned malts all while finishing crisp like a pilsner.

But what does Polotmavý mean? We’re glad you asked.

Polo means “half” and tmavé (or tmavý) means “dark” so this beer is Half Dark (or Amber) Lager.

The bigger malt body and slightly higher alcohol than in our 10º Czech style lager makes this the perfect beer to drink during this transition from the cold winter into spring.

Overhead View is soooo good! Dare I say my favorite Urban Roots beer to date, and I loved their Helles.

Anyone have a plug for purchasing more of this sweet nectar in the LA/South Bay area? My usual spot in Torrance already sold out :slight_frown:

If only Urban Roots offered CA shipping...
