I'm planning a trip to California again this year and wanted to see if anyone has any tips regarding when and where to visit. Last year we were able to attend the DDG and speedway release. I know it will be difficult to find two awesome releases that close again but any tips are welcomed. We are planning the trip july/aug/sep very flexible as to dates and locations. Thanks for any help in advance!
Maybe even just San Diego. The question, however, as worded is tantamount to me posting "Hey - I'm planning a trip to the Great Lakes this summer. Could you tell me about all the events in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota? Are the Boundary Waters close to Three Floyds?"
If you look closely it mentions location is "very flexible." For discussion sake lets just say Southern California.
Well, since Alesmith and Lost Abbey went to online purchase with a later pick up, those 2 are off the table for releases.
You do not need to have purchased one of the release bottles to get in the Alesmith release parties, though. You might not be able to pick up bottles, but you can still got and try what is on draft.
You could do Full Pint anniversary at Toronado in SD on 8/9: http://thefullpint.com/events/the-full-pint-7th-anniversary-august-9-2014/ And then trek up to LA for the Blue Palms Anniversary on 8/10: http://bluepalmsbrewhouse.com/6.html You could fly in to NorCal/SoCal prior to 8/9, and drive through by RR, Rare Barrel, SARA, FW(s), Beachwood, Noble, and Bruery. Depending on your ambition.
Beachwood's Long Beach brewery is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary on July 5th, last years party was pretty amazing, tons of house and guest taps. Cheers,
