    Well, I travel a lot and have the luxury of storing beer on the road. So I had a pretty big stock pile going, it was time to send them home! Even though I know what's inside, I'm still excited to get my haul lol.

    I pick mine up from Home Depot. They have 3 sizes and they are pretty inexpensive for the quality.

    I sent out a few boxes with expensive stuff today, so thought I would follow up on my prior post and show pics

    Start with a doubled wall heavy duty box from home depot:

    Then line the box with 1 inch polystyrene insulation sheets (there is a lid for it too, just not pictured):

    Then finish with 4 or 5 thick layers of bubble wrap around each bottle and tightly pack around with packing peanuts:

    Put the sheet of polystyrene on top, seal up tight with packing tape and you are good to go...

    And lo he saith unto FedEx... Bring it.

    I was actually planning on using this specific method for the next big shipment I am sending out. Do you also put the bubblewrapped bottles in a large garbage bag?

    @Dan_K - I don't bother with a plastic bag.

    A big hefty bag in the middle to line the inside would certainly be a good add if you were worried about a leak causing fedex to toss the box

    I know if a bottle leaks it will be a problem, but the probability of that is so low, and you have to draw a line somewhere! I haven't bothered with it, but if I ever get a leak I probably will start!

    Received my giant package today. 20 bottles, 3 cans (forgot to include 1 bottle and 1 can in picture). Not one bottle broke, I had some anxiety. All packed into a Gildan t-shirt box and shipped via UPS courtesy of my company which makes it even sweeter. My epic ship job, I'm very proud!

    That is a lot of effort, but nice pack job above.

    I for one am lazy and use 12 bottle styro shippers almost exclusively. I can get them for $8 a pop and at that price use them even if I am shipping a 6 pack. Only take me 5 minutes to box up 12 750s. Time saved for drinking beer.

    Also 12 bottle styro shippers will survive just about anything. I had one fall of the back of my truck from about 5 feet high and was fine. Also shipped them via airlines who are not nice with bags without issue.

    It's a lot easier, safer and cheaper to just fly the box home with yourself in your checked luggage. It's not against any rules so there's no worry and you don't have to wait and hope they make it, you'll always have them with you. Plus it only cost $25 compared to whatever shipping 50 pounds via FedEx or UPS costs.

    That's 100% true and with my airline status I can check 2 free bags. I shipped this one as a challenge to see if I could pull it off and I accomplished it.

    I get up to five bags free on most airlines. It's pretty legit.
