Can appearance affect perceived taste?

    Yeah, I think confounding expectations can be a useful device, adding some drama to food or drink. But it can also bite you in the Pink Pistachio flavored behind at times.

    Yes, it's like the McGurk Effect but for vision/taste instead of vision/audio.

    Someone posted a picture or two of their Heady floaties, and it seriously looked like someone dumped a bunch of sawdust in it or something.
