Any advice is appreciated. I don't know if dry stouts with 9% ABV age as good as others.

I'm not sure what you mean by "dry stout" but I tend to think that any stout with no added flavorings and not already barrel aged has a fair chance of aging well. Stouts in.general don't seem to be as.good of candidates for the 5+ year aging that can work with old ale/barleywine/big Belgian type brews but I wouldn't hesitate to enjoy a old Rasputin with a year or two on it

My guess is that @Noelito76 is referring to a beer categorized as an Irish Dry Stout. I don't think I have ever personally aged any beers in this style longer than say 3-4 months (and not because I was trying to cellar them but rather because I just didn't get around to cracking it open for that long after purchase).

Yes, I was referring to the Irish dry Stout style. I was aware that imperial stouts are much better with some age on it, but I wasn't sure that applied to this style even at 9%.

I'd be much more cautious, it seems like thinner bodied beers succumb to oxidation flavors faster

I'd say once a stout reaches 9% it is some other style than an "Irish Dry Stout".

My favorite dry Irish stout is 50/50 instant coffee and Ovaltine, just add bushmills
