This has been mentioned before but no one seems to have an answer. I just poured a Founders Ole Curmungeon ale and Jesus, the dark worm like floaties are making me sick. What the hell are these? The beer taste great but just knowing what is lurking below is seriously concerning me. Keep in mind, this is from this years release.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

It is just protein, nothing to worry about and won't harm you.

Probably yeast sediment. Nothing to worry about. Also, the beer is called Curmudgeon Old Ale, for god's sake.

How long did you refrigerate the beer before you poured it?

Thats the best part, seriously. Curmudgeon Better Half has the same chunky issue and mixing it up a bit really released dem flavors.

I have drank floaties before, and I am still alive, as of this writing. What doesn't kill ya can only make ya stronger.

It just means you have to shake it really hard before you open it next time. Really break them things apart before opening and you wont even notice them.

Some Old Curmudgeons cannot control this issue.

Ok how many times do we have to go through this nothing that can live in beer can hurt you aka pathogens bacteria etc. Solid ingredients are used to make beer. So what are the floaties you ask? You got it remnants of those ingredients. Is it nessisary to have in the beer? No. Is it ideal to have in your beer? Maybe not. Should you quit being such a baby and just drink your beer? I think so.

It's yeast sediment. It's somewhat normal and definitely healthy. Drink up!
