Can you celler in your closet?

    I live on the first floor of an house, So i don't have a basement. Is it okay to age beer in the back of a closet? If not where can i do this?

    Its better than out in the open.
    Try and control temperature the best you can.

    Unfortunately, due to where I've lived, I've been aging in a closet for five years. I've had very good results thus far and have only had a couple that didn't come out well

    I pulled a Storm King out of a cooler in my garage after 3 years in the Texas heat and it was phenomenal. After that, my advice is keep it in the dark.

    I am planning on starting to cellar in the crawl space under my house, technically the access is within my entry/hallway closet. I had been using an old fridge before that in my garage that was running semi warm yet cold enough for cellar temp.

    Beers kept in a closet can be just fine under the right conditions. That's where my overflow often goes. Its as cold as a witch's tit in there.
