Driving to Montreal for a week in May and have a couple of questions. Any recommendations? And since we are swinging through northern VT were thinking of picking up a couple cases of Heady Topper. Can we bring the HT across the boarder?

Yes you can bring the HT across, but only if you mail it directly COD to my house :stuck_out_tongue:

IIRC our rules are 24 12 oz beers duty free. I'd just say a few beers to drink and if they press on the number, tell them 24. They never ask volume unless you tell them.

I've never been asked if I have any alcohol when going into the states. I hear it's fairly similar for Americans coming into Canada, at least around here.

Recommendations in MTL for me would inlcude DDC, Vices & Versa and l`Amere a boire.

I would also recommend visiting Brasserie Dunham, scenery around is gorgeous and their beers aren`t half bad
