I just thought I'd make some discussion. If you had one Canadian brewed, one off beer you would love to see come back, what would it be? For me, it would be China Wall - Vienna Dark Lager of Lake of Bays, both for the beer and the bottle. Your thoughts?
1st choice: Bellwoods single hop Nelson Sauvin. 891st choice: Molson M - the beer that was microgazifiee. I dont even know what that means in english, microbubbles?
Amsterdam / Great Lakes Maverick & Gose. I never had the opportunity to try it, but I loved the name!
I don't know about the rest of Canada, but in Québec I'd really like to see Pit Caribou's Brett Session IPA again. It really scratched me where I itched.
I really loved their double IPA, haven't seen one in a while. I think they actually have a bottle or two of the Brett left at my local grocery store...
Hey Doc, I think this is out now, no? I saw it in the bottle shops over in Gatineau last week. But man are you right, it was awesome! ...Now may I suggest some oinment....!
Yeah it is. I picked the last one at my local shop a while ago and it had gotten considerably funkier since it was first out a couple months (give or take) ago. It's definitely worth a shot for anyone who hasn't tried it.
Actually, I think the Brett session IPA is done for now, because they just came out with IIPA de la Sorcière - a DIPA also made with Brett. I grabbed a bottle last week and I thought it was quite interesting, if a bit expensive. I'll definitely try to get one or two more, since I have a feeling we won't be seeing this one on shelves for too long.
