Please don't burn me alive for this.

I actually rather enjoyed PBR when I had it a few years back (the US version) and I keep seeing it around in various Liquor Depot's etc. but i'm always a little put off when I see that it's brewed by Sleemans.

Is there any difference between the US version and the one we get up here?

I'm sure there's a slight difference, but I'm not sure how well you'd be able to detect it. My guess is that they're pretty close. Sleeman's is a solid brewery so they should be on par with wherever it's being brewed in the US, right?

I tasted the Budweiser Black Crown (or is it just Budweiser Crown in Canada?) and thought it was very similar... placed side by side I might have noted a difference, but I certainly didn't feel the Canadian version (Sleeman's again?) strayed from what the beer was intended to be.

A beer you've really got to try though is that Labatt's Bleu Royal !!! Maybe we can ship you some of that to see how it compares to Canadian beer ! ;P

I reckon the stuff you get will be brewed in Vernon at Okanagan Springs as they have the Western Canada contract to brew it.

Great Western in Saskatoon used to brew it in Canada back in the 90s, before the hipster craze. I thought it was awesome...
