This is probably a common request among international BeerAdvocates, but I'd like to request that Canada's various provinces/regions various Top 25-50-100 lists, in addition to the US States. The reasoning for this is really just a matter of Geography. Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world which contains some of the most asinine alcohol regulation varying from province to province. This is not a request based on personal patriotism, as I'm in fully support of this occurring for any country that takes more then a day of driving to reach the other end.

I'm certain many US BA's travelling up North are looking to sample some of our country's best, and are left very disappointed by the inaccessibly of so many of our beers from province to province (especially in Southern Ontario), and having a way to narrow down the best of the region in a country as large as Canada I think would be beneficial to the site.

I'd have to dig deeper, but there's probably not enough ratings to support this.

Most of them would be useful lists but a few would struggle to exist or be completely dominated by a single brewer.

That may be the case, but even something to the tune of BC, Praries, Ontario, Quebec, East Coast might be a consideration.

I'd ideally recommend Ontario and Quebec, and mainly because Ontario shares the border with Michigan, New York and is very close to Ohio and Pennsylvania. That's the 4 of the top 10 states by population, and Quebec simply because of how much presence Quebec has on the existing top 100 list for Canada (nearly 50%).

Perhaps follow the same alignment as the Canadian Hockey League - West, Ontario, Quebec & East Coast. However if it's spread out too much, it sort of defeats the purpose of the request.

As an occasional visitor to Canada and a few other countries outside the North American continent I agree with this basic concept for some of the reasons you suggest. For me it was not so much that I was disappointed by beers from another province not being available in the province where I was visiting (that’s oftent true here in the US), but rather the difficulty of not being able to easily look at the beers and ratings for the province or region I was in. I suppose it may be the flip side of the same coin, but when I go from one state to another here in the US its relatively easy for me to look at the state find what's local both in terms of beers and breweries I might want to visit. So I definitely favor your idea both for Canada and other places where there may be enough ratings to support it.
