I wanted to know if their was any interest in a cross border Canadian/American BIF?

This wouldn't happen anytime soon as it would involve a lot of work and also it would be dependent on numbers of who is interested.

I've thought about this for a while and was curious.

    Cheers all!

Yes. Logistics wise, I could drop-ship from across the border in NY state, and similarly pick up from a UPS location using a needausaddress.com address.

It's certainly something I'd consider. Especially if the logistics of receiving the beer make sense. I can easily drive across.

I’ve taken part in US BIFs. I’ve generally just received the boxes here, but for those unwilling to take that risk, there are lots of options to have boxes sent to border towns.

For those willing to participate in the New Beer Weekend thread, the BIF associated with that group has welcomed Canadian participants openly. I’ve been in 4-5 of them now and they are great. As long as you are willing to participate in the weekly review thread, and share your thoughts on the beers you’ve tried, you can join. It’s a much more active BIF than this one that requires BIF participation in the thread as well. It’s a lot of fun.

Logistics of this working well in BC aren't great. Takes a lot of time to drive down nowadays, plus the chance you get taxed an extra 80% on the way back up.

Shipping from the U.S. into Canada has a decent probability of confiscation. Shipping the other way (into the USA from Canada) they don't seem to care though.
