CANBIF 2013 Hints & Hauls

Trying to pack everything tonight, and to ship tomorrow afternoon, as -who knows?- shipment has to travel quite a bit, and might contain a growler picked up last weekend at a Vermont brewery, so time is of the essence! Managed to hit at least 2-3 of his wants!

 

As for what I like, as previously mentioned in the other thread, I'm really a fan of hoppy ales. I tend to prefer beers with lighter malt profiles, low alchool, but a huge load of aromatic hops. I'm also a big fan of sours, drinking a lot of geuzes. I appreciate saisons and crisp, fresh pilsners. I don't really enjoy residual sugar and big dark ales, Imperial Stouts, etc...

My wants and gots are far from accurate. I have pretty easy access to all Quebec stuff, plus pretty much everything LCBO sells.

Oh, and I might sound like a snob, but I'm not a big fan of beer related swag, t-shirt or barware. But I'd definitely love to taste your local "worst of"

 

I haven't sealed the box yet I totally forgot to add a "worst of" I'll head to the LCBO this weekend and see if I can find a real gem *cough* Trafalger *cough*

 

Trafalgar, lol. I do still have a few bottles of a nasty homebrew I did late last year...hmmm.

 

My box is picked out and ready to pack. Need to make a new batch of swag this weekend .

Hint: My shipments destination is a place that on Thursday was colder and drier than its origin.

 

My box is going.........somewhere. It's to a place I had to consult a map for. That's all the hint I'm giving. I think I can match some local and non-local wants, so my target should be a happy camper.....some Ontario goodies and some Alberta goodies I hope to pick up next week in Cowtown. Plus, after much ado, I did get a styro shipper so hopefully that assures safety.

As for my "wants", I'm pretty easy. I love everything from lagers to impy stouts, so literally any style is welcome. If you like the box, I'll like the box. That said, I am partial to wilds/sours/lambics, but they can be hard to come by in good 'Ol Canada, so no worries if there arn't any available out in your neck of the woods.

Some hopefully easy requests if you are the dude shipping to me....1. Please ship so the package arrives after the 15th, I'm on vacay till then. 2. Signature required please. My neighbours have sticky fingers.

Pretty much everything I've had I've rated...

I love hoppy, wild, Belgians & big beers. I like all sorts of stuff, including the light lager I made recently. I also like trying any sort of homebrew...

Really I like any beer, but I prefer some

EDIT: I should note my box won't be ready for a week minimum as I just got back from Europe. Sadly I have no European beers to send though!

I am going to hold off a few more days before packing up a box to see what I might be able to add to it that is both local and interesting ... most of my box is all set though.
