CANBIF Fall 2014 - Hints and hauls

As for styles, I like almost anything. NO PUMPKIN BEERS PLEASE! (there is soon to be 500 of them available here ) Bellwoods are my CANBIF White Whale as haven't had anything from them.

My target still lists most of his last CANBIF box as wants, so he might be getting a replica

My box is heading East if you can believe it, it might land a little South of my house as well

 

I hope my recipient likes beer, coffee and marshmallows.

 

My wants are current, tried to keep them reasonable. Obviously I want an Hommage but that's not going to happen. Prefer no pumpkin beer unless it's something really remarkable. I don't mind the style, just burnt out on them from previous years. I try to use untappd reasonably well but I forget a lot of stuff. Looking in my cellar should give you an idea of what I like. I'm not opposed to getting something I've already had or have if I rated it really high but new beer is more fun.

Hint: my target is a CANBIF newbie in Ontario.

On top of my earlier post about wanting sours barleywines stouts etc that are ageable I updated my wants to include all the beers on the canada top 50 I haven't had. Any of those would rock my socks.

 

Alright! I'm still away so haven't had time to peruse, but here's what you need to know about me:

No style off limits. I do collect lambic primarily, but if you want to send me a great pale, go for it. Love em' all.

Updated my Canada Top 50 list. I'm Techore on Untapped.

Hint #1: My target is west of me but east of Alberta

 

Updated the contents of my paltry little cellar using the "gots" feature.

Hint #2: Shipping to a province that was not a province back at the time of confederation.

 

Can't tell if you're joking or not, but stay away! They seem to have jacked the price up, and it's all old stale Euro beers that have been sitting in an Alberta warehouse since summer. There's a reason most of the beers aren't normally available here... hugely disappointed in the first yr, didn't get one last yr but saw MANY complaints about them.

Thanks for the heads up! In that case I think I will pass. It's a great idea though. Maybe I'll take some of the beers from this exchange and put together my own beeradvent calendar.

 

I like good beer. If you like it I will probably enjoy it. My wants are somewhat current...

My box will be going out end of week.. waiting on a local seasonal to drop. Hint at where it's going. . East of me and so also south

 

Excited for my first BIF!

My favourite styles are sour / wild ales, well balanced American IPAs (nothing too malty or overly bitter), Brett beers, coffee and Barrel Aged Stouts but I'm a ticker at heart so I'd love to try anything specialrelease.rar. I travel a lot and have access to a lot of beer but always love revisiting my favourites as well. I always love proper glassware and wear a Large t-shirt. I also love locally roasted coffee!

For example, from Quebec I love Solstice d'ete, Moralite or any of the BA DDC/TDD stuff, a la fut co hop v or any other sours or delicious IPAs. I am entirely jealous how close Quebec is to Vermont and I will not be mad if some Hill Farmstead, Alchemist or Lawson's shows up on my steps.

From the West my #1 want would be Sartori Harvest (never had it), but I love Fat Tug, Singularity, Cellar/Barrel Dweller or any of the sour Driftwood stuff. I've had some P49 that was great as well and I'm sure there's plenty of delicious beer I don't even know about.

Lambic is my favourite style just in case anyone from Alberta wants to send me a growler of Lou Pepe Kriek from their bath tub tap ☺️

My wants on here are mostly unreasonable but I went through and added a few from the Canada top 50.
