CANBIF Fall 2015: Hints & Hauls

Not sure if my wants are updated, but I'm a sucker for Belgian sours, North American Sours, Barrel aged anything, Big stouts, Fresh IPA, etc. Anything not available in WNY/GTA is a huge plus! Not big on Kolsch. Look at tbadiuk - my likes are probably similar.

As for whom I am sending to:

Hint 1: If I were to drive there from here, it would take more than 1 day, no matter if I went through the US or Canada.

Hint 2: If you do not update your wants soon, you will be getting a gross of Flying Bison... Maybe I can take a trip up to Trafalgar.... You have been warned.

 

So I probably was supposed to do this earlier but to whomever is sending to me - I just like beer

Preferably new beer (ratings are on that other dangerous site, same username). Preference to saison, ipa, apa, anything from a barrel, ris and if possible the worst beer you've ever had.

 

Hint 1: He is just north of the border.

I'm a big ticker, I love trying new stuff. I've updated my profile, along with my untapped account. Always on the hunt for highly rated beers.

 

I like all styles and especially variety. My ticks on this site give a pretty thorough representation of everything I have had since joining. Love trying new beers. My wants as listed on this site are primarally beers i have not yet had from the Canadian Top 100. My gots are pretty much up to date.

Hint #1: My target lives in a province I have sent a box to before in a Canbif

 

Hint uno, dos and tres: For the first time in my personal history of CanBIF I am sending west to a tony street in a city nowhere near the provincial capital.
TARGET NOTE: I am going to stalk you, learn everything I can about you and then send you a box of beer tailored to you. Am I being serious? Not really, I will probably just send you a bunch of stuff from my cellar and a few locals to round things out.

I am on untapp'd and I have had a few beers, that being said I am not a ticker, I will gladly drink things that I have enjoyed before. I dig good beer, interesting beer, beer that you would want to take home to introduce to mom. My favourite style would probably be sour/BA saisons and /or old ales.

The only style of beer I do not enjoy is the loathsome Irish Red ale, I have never been surprised by one, you will not find me one I like, if you put one in my box I will take photos of myself drinking it then I will start a campaign of terror AGAINST YOU AND YOUR KIN. Real scorched earth kinda shit... am I joking? maybe... who can tell anymore?

 

Damn, I gotta unpack all this Irish Red ale now!!!! Or ... Do I?

 

Alright, so, instead of updating my wants on BA (which may still be accurate but I can't be very bothered), I'll just go ahead and say that I am not biased towards any style besides Lambic, which I cherish. Everything else I enjoy immensely, so just hit me with your favourite stuff. Hint #1: My target shipped to my province in the last CANBIF

 

My wants and gots are up to date, but on the other site (same handle). Most of those wants are only beers I'd like to try one day, so don't really bother yourself with them.

Smoked and spices heavy beers are two styles I can't seem to like, everything else is good to go.

Hint #1: I'm sending my box west
Hint #2: I'll have to work hard to surprise you.

 

I don't have a list of wants on any site, but that doesn't mean that I'm hard to find beers for!

I love almost all styles (IPA, Stouts, RIS, Sours, Saisons, Wild, Porters, Lambic), with the possible exception of Scotch Ales. Barrel aged stuff is great, but not a necessity!

My target is west of me and I hope he/she doesn't mind a proliferation of bottles from one brewer.

My wants are semi-updated but basically I love beer so I am sure I will enjoy whatever beers I get.

Hints#1: I am sending two boxes. One is going east and there other one is going west to a province I have not set foot on before.

For those who use the other site, is there a way to search through a user's reviews? Or, do I have to just scroll through the whole list?

Gots and untappd are up to date. Wants will not be updated. I want everything.

If I haven't had it ( or I liked it) I will be happy. I like a lot of things. Baltic Porters, Barleywines, saisons and sours are my thing right now.

My likes. Beer! Love the Hop but also love just a good pilsner. Not a coffee lover so coffee porters are lost on me and smoked beers are not a love. Other than that I'm game for anything.

I rate on the other site, same username also on untappd.

 

Will be sending a box to a place I've never been or sent beer to before.

WANTS on here are mostly crazy whales and out of date, I'll do a quick pass through Canadian beers.
HADS the best place to look is Untappd although I've ticked hads from the top Cdn beers.
LIKES Saisons, Stouts & Porters, IPA, Sours, Barrel Aged, Strong Ales, Belgian styles almost anything.
DISLIKES gluten free beer , smoked beers, scotch ales not a huge fan of. All else is fair game!

 

No gluten free oak-smoked scotch ale for jonny
